By far the pho in all of the bay area (specifically the veggie pho). I take all of my friends who come into town.
I've only ever really ordered the chicken noodle soup (adding veggies will cost you more $), but it's pretty good. A big bowl of clear broth with fresh sprouts, jalapeños, and basil to sprinkle on top.... Not bad.I don't go as much as I used to since they've been steadily increasing their prices
One of the last reasonably priced ethnic eateries on the Valencia corridor. Delicious food and cheap. Try the garlic noodles! To meals in one.
Great vegetarian pan fried noodles.
I'll keep this simple. This place is awesome! The food is cheap and the portions are large! I love the spring rolls and the lemon grass chicken here. Add some fish sauce to dip those in, and you're all set! :DThe wait staff is super friendly and fast. The only drawback about this place is how crowded it gets during dinner service, but it's well worth the wait!
This is my go to spot. Great Barry, especially the miso. They are very nice people I have grown to be friends with every time I visit. Great take out option too!
I just spent $23 (with tip) for a to go order of spring rolls and imperial rolls. I specifically said NOT vegetarian, walked 20 minutes home to vegetarian rolls. Very disappointed - but I don’t mind veg food if it’s good and mistakes happen. Unfortunately these were DISGUSTING greasy cabbage rolls (basically just cabbage) with no flavor whatsoever on a bed of rotting lettuce. Not wilted, rotting and old lettuce smelly. The spring rolls had fresh lettuce but no herbs, suuuuper boring but edible if you want to eat plain rice noodles wrapped with a rice noodle.
Food feels home-made and fresh
I've loved this Vietnamese place for years! The BBQ beef vermicelli is always amazing.
Best bun thit nuong for value I’ve had in SF!
Very price worthy. Excellent noodle soups, and the Vietnamese Crepe was excellent. Only downer was that there was too much food they had to throw so much away.
Dead cockroaches aren’t a typical ingredient of Vietnamese Hot and Sour soup, so it was a real treat to find them available here!
Vermicelli was very good
Food was decent and properly priced. I would deifnitely go hear again if I was in the area but I wouldn't seek it out. My noodles were a bit dry and the fish clay pot was quite fishy and a bit too salty.
Really good authentic Vietnamese food. I haven't been here in a year or so, but I've been to events catered by Sunflower. You seriously cannot go wrong either way. I wasn't even planning on writing a review for this place until it popped up on my screen. Realize it was probably a good idea to give this place a nice review since my mouth watered just thinking about it.
Great food, great price, divey.
Good on the $$$
Went here for a light dinner and had calamari salad and some jasmine tea. Calamari salad came with shredded cabbage, carrots, mint, crushed peanuts, shrimp crackers and a sweet vinegar sauce. The portion was huge and the food was very delicious. I'm definitely going back to try their garlic noodles and pho sometime soon.
Delicious curryied shrimp with wonderful vegetables.
Great garlic noodles but poor service. The resurant is located at a stone throws distance from UCSF and easily accessible. 1. Wonderful noodles2. Too much quantity3. Low price4. Doubts about quality
Food was so so, service was terrible. Forgot a dish we ordered, after we asked for it twice. No explanation of how to wrap our rolls. Yes you make your own spring roll. No offer of beverages after our food came. In fact my girlfriend received here food 5 min. Before me. Waitress was on her cell phone the whole time.
Very authentic. Great price
Hands down the Best Garlic Noodles, Ever!!!! Everything I've ever eaten here has been absolutely wonderful.
Food is very good, good prices and they serve you very quickly!
These guys (and their sister restaurant on Connecticut Ave) have the best pho in the Bay Area. The broth is sublime
When i bought my seafood to go and i opened it i found a fly
Definitely new owners! new menu, specials don't have as many imperial rolls or meat...not as generous as previous ownersSad, sunflower was a bang for your buck before...prices way higher.sucks for the locals who needs to search for deals... again
Super affordable and delicious. Also very friendly people and bright atmosphere. I recommend entering on the 16th street side which is extra cozy.
Always dependable lunch specials. Pleasant staff.
Food is just awesome. Wash it down with a whole coconut. You won't regret coming here.
Small place with large portions. Everything on the menu kind of tastes the same. Try the spicy green beans and the thai iced tea.
Most fantastic garlic noodles. My all time favorite.
Every time I try to come, this place isn't opened. I'm pretty sure this is a front for some other business. I'm super confused. Ate here once, I'd go again. If I could figure out how to get in.
Delicious food! Lunch specials are a must eat.
Good food .good price. No need more then that
Even though this restaurant shows up as having bahn mi, they don't. And they close for 2 hours in the middle of the day.
Food's ok inexpensive quick
A really good dining place. The food is awesome and the waiting time on a busy Saturday evening was also not too much. The be lost part was the waiting time after ordering food. Good value for money .
Went back recently and service and food has greatly improved. Much cleaner as well. Will return for sure.
This place is amazing! I love to come here and eat with my friends. It's small and fast paced, but the grub is amazing. I would totally recommend checking this place out!
Amazing vietnamese food! And very reasonably priced. Staff is friendly and attentive, though its a very casual asian-style restaurant so don't over expect. I love coming here and always recommend. I go all the time myself!
GET. THE. GARLIC. NOODLES. Just do it.Anyone who has been in San Francisco long enough knows the deal. If you go into the side of the restaurant that is smaller, the older male server is INCREDIBLY rude. The sooner you learn that, the sooner you can either become endeared to it or decide to get it to go. Service on the other side is solidly mediocre. Basically, come here for the delicious food and huge portions. I almost went to 3 stars because of the service, but seriously: HUGE. PORTIONS. YUMMY. CHEAP.
Sunflower is increadibly delicious and addicting!Me and my Yoga friends love going here after a class as they have really yummy veggie and vegan options, but also plenty of meat options as well!My absolute fave is their Veggie Tofu Vermaccelli!
I used to get garlic prawns and was extremely satisfied with the amount and size of the prawns. This last order was a huge disappointment. The amount of “prawns” were tbe same however, the SIZE was more like shrimp. I get that rent have gone up for and you have to cut corners. Too bad. I won’t go back😔
Delicious, quick, cheap. The vege noodle soup was the perfect addition on a cold, wet thursday night.
Ordered a Clay pot and pineapple fried rice. Usually pineapple fried rice has pineapple....you know the main ingredient in the dish. Pineapple was apparently forgotten I guess? The Clay pot was so incredibly salty it was not edible. It literally went straight in the garbage. We tried calling the restaurant about this but they just told us to call the delivery service over it. Never again. This food is completely disgusting. Stay away from this place. I literally can't believe how bad this food is. I'm just dumbfounded food can be screwed up so badly it's no longer food.
Small family run Vietnamese restaurant with authentic taste and good vegetarian options.
Love their garlic noodles and Thai iced coffee. good service and food. Just need to find a spot for parking.
Probably one of the best Vietnamese restaurants I've been to. I can't say the dining experience is the most amazing thing Ive ever been a part of, but if you take your order to go you can enjoy wherever you want!Check out the Shrimp Spring rolls and Vermicelli - amazeballs. I think I might pick up dinner from them tonight!
Finally an affordable, yet legit food in the Baja Noe area. Authentic-enuff, unpretentious Vietnamese food, for the Mission area. Finally something that isn't too sissified for the mainly non-Asian clientele. I can say that because I am of the Far East Asian descent. Thumbs up. I will def be back! Btw, I ordered the garlic beef noodle with imperial rolls. Will try the pho next time.
